I was surprised that the solicitor charged 4x as much for just filling in PoA forms compared to writing the will which involved professional advice. Is there more to it than that or are the forms particularly complicated?RAS said:And the POA can be done on-line for the cost of the fees, without a solicitor.

Also, make sure you sign your own wills (my parents were handed each other's wills to sign at their solicitors - fortunately, we noticed the mistake before they died and were able to redo the wills!)
