Hi, looking at getting a Sainsbury's 0% for 25 months to clear a next store card. On the application it states some store cards are not included. Does anyone know if you can balance transfer a Next store card?

Hoe many digits does the card number have? If 15, then no.
Next are one of the few accounts you can use a 0% purchases card on.0 -
You can only transfer from Credit Cards.Do you have another credit card (with any provider other than Amex)? If so, you can make a payment on that card to cover the Next account, then you can balance transfer from that.Alternatively if it's only Next you want to clear then a 0% Purchase credit card should do the trick. You might want to check it gets treated as a purchase with a small transaction (and waiting a few days to check there's no extra fees) before clearing the entire balance. You can also clear your Next account using Next gift cards, if you can find some advantageous way of purchasing those.0

You can not balance transfer from a Store card to a credit card. No of numbers makes no difference.
But was this card a true store card, or a branded CC?Life in the slow lane0 -

But was this card a true store card, or a branded CC?Is, e.g., this one? Neither Visa nor Mastercard. And works only in Argos, Habitat and Sainsbury's.Reportedly, you can transfer a balance from it.This site says the same about Next card, but I cannot even find a photo of this card.ETA: I didn't even notice that the number has 19 digits, not 16. It's really hard to believe that a BT is possible for this card.0 -
Hi, if all else fails and you want to know you can phone them on 0800 030 44 18.
Lines are open 8am-7pm Mon-Fri and 8am-5pm Sat-Sun, so you could give them a ring tomorrow if you wanted to.
I have a Sainsbury's credit card but I've only done a BT from them, not to them, so am unable to give any pertinent advice, sorry about that. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. I don't think it's a problem here since they accept Amex which also has 15 digits.

It's okay I paid my next store card off with a card I already had and have now balance transferred that card to my Sainsbury's balance transfer card.0
