Philips TV keeps restarting

Can anyone provide some insight on this
I have a philips tv (8 months old) and it keeps restarting itself multiple times per day, often multiple times per hour. The problem is getting worse with time. It used to just restart but now 50% of the time it'll just turn itself off.
I've tried resetting the tv back to factory settings.
I have the latest software installed.
I'm not the most technologically minded so I'm not sure what else to try.

Maybe it's an overheating problem? Are any vents blocked or is it in an alcove, or close to a radiator for instance? Is it under guarantee and who from?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

As Farway has hinted, is it still under guarantee? At only 8 months, would assume so0

Batteries in the remote - or the remote itself. Just a suggestion.

Contact where you bought it from saying it is faulty. It sounds faulty.

Just wanted to come and update this in case anyone else has the same problem.
I contacted Philips and after some troubleshooting they sent an engineer round. Turned out both the powerboard and motherboard needed replacing! It was all done under the warranty and has has been working perfectly since.3
