mrsyardbroom said:Guess what. There is already a thread on Elnur heaters and other people have been having massive problems with them. They've had grants to have them installed the same as me. It seems that only the installers can change the settings for the charging period and balancing element. I checked the length of time the balancing element has been on today and it's 25 minutes. I can't set this to zero.

When it was installed it started heating the room immediately even though it had never been charged. I've been asked how many units I've used in the last month. I only switched the heater on last week so I can't say what the number of units will be in a month.Gerry1 I'll see if I can find out how to change the settings for the boost. I don't think it's in the user manual. The Elnur doesn't act as a fan heater in the conventional sense. But from a brief review of the specs - as well as the main - charging elements -they have a lower powered "balancing element" they call it.I haven't seen the physical layout - but essentially this charges the "storage medium" - think bricks in old NSH.In one Elnur manual I read - and its the installation manual - not the user manual - for one another user was having issues with defaulted to a maximum of 5 (not 3) hours - at 1.1 kW input - for the largest model the ECOHHR040 (over c3.5kW charging element).See p10 for this model range - yours ? e.g.It's in the configuration settings - so you may need to download it - if the fitter didn't leave with you.Do you have a model series or a model number. (Sorry if I missed it)0
