Title wrong on Aegean flight ticket

Hello,

Lastminute have made an error and have put Mrs on arrival flight ticket and Mr on the return flight ticket. 
It should be Mr. The airline first told me I have to purchase another ticket then spoke to lastminute.com and says they have spoke to the airline and they say  they can't change the title but we can still fly and will have no problem . I also have to provide flight tickets to apply for the visa to enter Turkey but worried it will get rejected because of the title error. 

What should I do?

Firstly, did you buy one return ticket, or two separate one-way tickets?

If you have two separate tickets, the one that says Mrs. is completely useless and you will need to buy a replacement. A basic rule is that the passenger name and gender, as shown in the passport, must exactly match what is shown on the ticket.

If you have a return ticket in different genders for the outbound and return part, there is a very obvious error and it is probable that the airline will sort things out for you.

Clearly this is a mistake by Lastminute, who have a reputation for being the very worst travel agent in the business. You have been told by the airline that you need a new ticket, and cannot trust a vague reassurance from Lastminute who should be correcting their mistake but evidently choose not to do so.

And what passport do you hold? With a British passport there is no need for a visa for Turkey.

Given the current trend of visiting Turkey for surgery it's maybe not such an unusual circumstance

Aegean - it’s mentioned in the post title.   

Aegean is a Greek airline.

Some airlines request both title and gender (I just made a booking and had to say both that I was Mr and male). Check if Aegean do this: if both sectors are for a male to fly then the change of title ought not to matter. However, if the gender of the passenger changed between outbound and return you might have problems (unless you can find a helpful surgeon while on holiday, and get a new passport to match!).

TBH I don't think it will matter. I fly a lot, have used Aegean, they allow up to 3 letter mistake in the name/surname but I don't think the title is important since you could be Mr, Mrs, Ms, Rev, Capt, Dr etc and many of these titles don't infer gender. I think they are just a courtesy, not a requirement, and certainly not a test against passport details.
