in Cutting tax
Hello,
Would anyone be able to help with my tax code changing from 737 T for 21/22 to 568 TX for 22/23. I have just filled out a self assessment and my bill is huge. I haven't changed jobs.
thank you

No one can help explain what's happened unless you provide a breakdown of how the tax code has been calculated.
How many PAYE sources of income do you have (jobs, pensions)?0 -
'T' after your code number would indicate more than one source of PAYE income.0

There are a few less common situations as well. Tapered Personal Allowance being one which could be relevant?

Thank you. The only other source of income is a bonus

I'll stick my neck out and say your adjusted net income is over £100k and HMRC have simply reviewed your tax code following submission of your 2021:22 tax return.
Resulting in a change to the 568T tax code.
But it could be anything with so little information to go on!0
