Hello, 

Would anyone be able to help with my tax code changing from 737 T for 21/22 to 568 TX for 22/23.  I have just filled out a self assessment and my bill is huge.  I haven't changed jobs.

No one can help explain what's happened unless you provide a breakdown of how the tax code has been calculated.

How many PAYE sources of income do you have (jobs, pensions)?

'T' after your code number would indicate more than one source of PAYE income.

There are a few less common situations as well.  Tapered Personal Allowance being one which could be relevant?

Thank you.  The only other source of income is a bonus

I'll stick my neck out and say your adjusted net income is over £100k and HMRC have simply reviewed your tax code following submission of your 2021:22 tax return.

Resulting in a change to the 568T tax code.

But it could be anything with so little information to go on!
