Glue for laminate floor

I'm preparing to lay a laminate floor in my hallway - looking into whether it's worth glueing the stuff together to make it better suited to being at the entrance.
Now it specifies "white PVA glue D3", is this a specific grade of PVA? Does it mean that using a bog standard tub of PVA would damage it or is it simply another term?
