Hi everyone,
I had a better night last night but ironically I feel tireder, I might have to have a nap while everyone is out and the house is quiet, although I'm tempted to do some sewing.
Not a lot happening here again, I had a haircut yesterday but that was about it. The beef with french dip was very nice and I'll do veggie pasta bake for dinner, I try to do at least two veggie days but I'm too much of a carnivore to go completely veggie and vegan is a step too far. Steve's niece by marriage has taken to eating meat after 40 years of being vegetarian so she is really bucking the trend.
I'm trying to organise a Sunday lunch for Steve's birthday because I have an ultrasound scheduled for the actual birthday (at 7.30pm which makes it impossible to plan a meal out). I need to ring the pub we want to go to to see if they can accommodate a toddler and two babies under 6 months!
Nelski, hope the hands improve. Ruby, good to see you posting. Mehefin, any updates, I hope you're not posting because you feel well enough to keep busy. NMLC, I hope you're just enjoying a break and everything is ok.
Have a good day.11 -
Afternoon all, had a bit more snow this morning & our road is still frozen. Sat watching the early news last night when we heard an awful bang- knew what it was straight away and switched over to look at CCtv , someone had skidded into DH work van and knocked it about 5' away & into the middle of the road. I went out straight away as DH had to get his shoes on quick. The man was already out of his car. He said he was ok so we got DS out to take some pics and details. He had only had his car 2 weeks, brand new- ouch!Anyway he was on to his insurers 1st thing and they rang DH at 8.30. He can get a hire van tomorrow, but atm are having difficulty finding a garage to look at it with it being a van, & it will need to be towed away.DH managed to move it a bit so it wasnt in the way & this morning it has been a case of emptying the essential tools etc to take to DS2 at the job.Phew! Needless to say he's not in the best of moods.Even when it's icy drivers still come down the hill and round the bend far too fastWe had a giggle last night with the DGC throwing snowballs etc, and DGD getting some in a glass & melting it in the microwave, luckily I arrived to stop her putting some cordial in! I said a dog might have wee'd near it, but she said she'd got it off the wood shelter at the front
Answer for everything that one
Ok I said but a squirrel or a bird could have run on
Making Spanish chicken tonight to go with some patatas bravas, but will need to brave the heavy roadworks to get DGS later.Resurfacing one of the busiest main roads, so they have temp lights and can only use 1 side, it's been taking ages to get to school.Anyway, enough of my woes, hope everyone else is ok- Topsy hope DS is a bit more comfortable now.Good to see you post RR, hugs to the unwell.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
