Royal Mail failing to collect item

I have never used Royal Mails collection service before so decided to give it a go.
Paid for a parcel and it was due to be collected today between 10:00 and 13:00 and no one turned up.
There does not appear to be a way for me to contact them about the failed collection.
Do I just request a full refund for the parcel and rebook it?

You can take it to the post office or sorting office0

I had a failed collection yesterday (first time it's failed), the e-mail said it was due to problems accessing the safe place (which was irrelevant) when actually the postie just didn't turn up. He said today that he didn't have anything down for collection yesterday, so I don't know what to think.
You can book a new collection for free online, it’s a separate 'product' from the postage so your postage should still be fine.0 -
I didn't even get a courtesy email from them informing me why they failed to collect my parcel.
I booked another collection for tomorrow, does anyone know if they will bring a label with them? My parcel does not have a label as on my initial order I requested they bring the label.
If they fail to turn up tomorrow I'm going to request a refund and go back to using Evri.0 -

Spoonie_Turtle said:It should have given you the option, and you click yes or no. It definitely applies to already-purchased postage.
When I purchased the postage label and arranged for collection yesterday, it gave me the choice of them bringing the label.
When I arranged collection today there was no option for them to bring the label.0 -

Failed collection yesterday but was due to the snow.
Collection service is very good here but I know the posties well.If it happens again see if you can find a local rate number for the depot for a chat.
I’m sure you can rebook the collection using the parcel number. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
I’ve been having the same problem with EVRI. 😡😡😡😡0

We have had no issues with RM collections, which is a lot more than can be said for other companies. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I have the opposite problem. I want to buy postage online to send a parcel and I want to drop it off at the local post office. But I'm only offered the option of a collection! The final online step asks when I want it collected, and there's no way to say I don't want it collected.0
