Maybe, but that doesn't mean a SECCI bank reference is anything to do with energy payments. They are agents for payments for lots of outfits.MikeJXE said:
Secci was acquired by Octopus pre 2020 according to googleZanderman said:Not sure why this should be Octopus (they may be part of that group but they don't necessarily do Octopus payments), SECCL deal with lots of financial organisations as far as I can see - Penfold Pensions, Chip Savings etc etc
Edited to add (and clarify): Here are a few of their clients: https://seccl.tech/customers/
More likely to be nothing to do with energy I'd think.0 -
Yes they are but when you don't recognise the credit you have to make some educated guesses from where it comes from and as Octopus was mentioned maybe they are on Octopus energyZanderman said:

Ok, I'm not going to win this as you seem to insist on Octopus being most likely. So this is my last response! SECCL are an outfit that manage payments. For lots of organisations. Octopus are mentioned as they own SECCL. But it's worth thinking about SECCL's actual clients: https://seccl.tech/customers/MikeJXE said:

(and by the way I'm with Octopus - they don't pay back the Gov rebate, they reduce the DD)0 -

It's easy enough for the OP to find out they are based in Bath0 -
Just wait a few days and see whether a letter turns up to explain it. In the old days you'd receive a letter with a cheque, these days the money arrives first followed by a letter.2

One post wonderI came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.1

How much is the credit? £67 by any chance?0
-
Thanks for all your suggestions. To the best of my (limited) knowledge, I have no connection with Octopus (my energy provider is EON). The credit is somewhat higher than £67. The credit appeared a few weeks ago and there has been no letter, e-mail or other communication. So still confused!2

Thanks for following this up. It wouldn't be £67 even if it was Octopus as they don't do the Gov handout this way.peckersthepenguin said:Thanks for all your suggestions. Have you looked to see if you have any connection with the SECCI clients listed on this link https://seccl.tech/customers/ (note that that's not a full list)?0 -
Hello again. I have looked at the link suggested and while I appreciate that it is not a full list, nevertheless I don't recognise any on the list that is there.0
