Have cancelled contract with Co Op in writing within the 14 day cancellation period. Have decided to do probate myself as I was my Dad’s LPA anyway so am already across his finances. Tax refund has already been sorted and received, bank accounts closed. Only have to apply for probate for one NS & I account where proceeds from house sale were saved.

I don't think you'll regret it. Remember you can come back here and ask any questions you want, plus if something a bit more complicated comes up you can consult a solicitor or accountant about that one issue. Take your time, be methodical, having been LPA you'll already be in a strong position for this.Signature removed for peace of mind1
