Weekend listings on ebay fvf offer

I re-listed all my listings over the weekend as I had the f2f offer of 80% off.
All ok but for the ones I listed on Monday. All 9 items have not had one view which is really odd as they generally have 1 or 2 straightaway.
All in same category and are showing one after another.
I think this is absolute proof that ebay or turning listings off.
Has anyone else had this?

I'm not sure those viewing numbers work that well. I've had a number of items that have watchers but no viewers!1

Even if I had just one view in the list of 9 it wouldn't seem as suspicious. The ones I re-listed Friday / Saturday have had views here and there which is normal for me.0

You can with the app tap to watch something on the search results page, without actually viewing the listing.GrubbyGirl_2 said:I'm not sure those viewing numbers work that well. I've had a number of items that have watchers but no viewers!0 -
There has been theories of eBay hiding listings for over a decade.
Their algorithm is complex and there are a lot of listings on the site, no views after a couple of days doesn’t necessarily mean the listings are hidden.
January is typically a slow time as is middle of the month which doesn’t help sales and with the offers missing for a while there was likely more people put stuff up this time around.
If you revise your listings and make a pointless change (extra space in the description section or adjust the price by a penny) the listings should be indexed into the site again giving a little boost.
If things are slow adding the promote listing option at 2% is a good idea, with 70% off FVF the fee is about 4%, even if half your sales come from promoted it’s only averaging out at around 5% which is still a good deal for the fees.

I used the promoted listing for the first time on my private account just before Christmas as I had an expensive item that really needed to hit the Christmas period and I was fed up of tripping over it. Item had been listed at £200 - £250 (I varied it a bit at each re list) for around 10 months and had attracted offers as low as £100, and had even sold twice at around the £185 mark , but both times failed get paid .There has been theories of eBay hiding listings for over a decade.

Put it up promoted at 2% and it sold within 3 days for £235.00, it was shipped via GSP first week of December and reached the Far East within a week. So I echo the advice about promoted listings.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've been using it since they introduced it and just stick everything at 2% (it's actually 2% plus VAT so 2.4%) and the ad fee is noticeably higher now than when the minimum was 1.2% but my fees come to a total of 8% give or take, that's with everything sold on the 70% FVF offers and also includes the ad fees, the 30p fees and any international fees for GSP sales.soolin said:

I'm clearing the clutter out of our house and would rather it's gone, I do sometimes wonder if something would have sold without the ad fee but an overall 8% in charges to access so many buyers and have space in our house in a bargain IMHO.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
I'm actually having a look through my private listings now to see if anything needs promoting, I tend to use it on things that are a bit of a nuisance to store , as sometimes it's nice just to have a bit of room to move around.
On my business listings I use it in categories where there is a lot of competition.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The best thing about it is that you only pay when you get a sale, a rare idea from eBay that's actually really good and different.
Most places are pay per click (I think eBay has added this as a 2nd option now but I've never used it), when I was running a business I tried Etsy ads and that seemed an expensive waste of time, Amazon ads seemed to work and had a lot of options for setting the price of clicks and search terms but with their fees already on the high side and so much competition driving down margins I guess you need a fair mark up to cover the advertising.
I think a lot of people are put off by the idea of paying for fees but with no upfront charge I'm happy with the sales it generates. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
Thanks everyone! Had a few "views" since first listed but was odd that all items were only the ones listed on the Monday.
I have never used "promoted" before so might give that a try.
Also, previously I varied the words when I re-listed items but I stopped doing that. Looks like I need to do that again.2
