So lovely to have a post from Ruby - you'll be taking things easy for a while yet. Thanks for posting and reassuring us all.Taff - thanks for news of Nelski, I can well imagine the effects of the cold on her hands and fingers.I've done a white wash and now got a woollen load on the go. They'll be hung upstairs with the dehumidifier on for a couple of hours.6

Good Morning All
Have had a couple of tough days, Ds2 came of his scooter on Monday morning on his way to work. He lost control on some surface water. He has been very lucky. He’s got a serious break to his femur and another bone on his knee. The bone came through his skin so he had an open wound as well. He was taken to theatre Monday afternoon, they took him to the big hospital in Cambridge which is over an hour away as they had a trauma centre. He’s doing ok but it will be a long recovery I’ve been told.Work have been very good and have given me special leave for a week.
Thinking of all the people who are not well. Ruby nice to see you posting. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.10 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
London office again for me today. It's a sunny, frosty morning here.
Good to see @RedRuby1231 posting and to have news of @Nelski - sending hugs to you both x
Don't worry about the gain @IzzyBee - it's a marathon not at sprint
We had a SW creamy pork recipe last night - very nice despite using Quark! Stroganoff-like. Tonight is Spanish fish and potato bake with artichokes - DH on the hunt for artichokes this lunchtime.
Did a washload before work this morning so hoping DH will peg it out for a blast of fresh air and not use the TD - all will be revealed later.
Have a good day all,

It's a recipe from the ald! website & is a favourite of mine.Gers, know what you mean about being too hot with the burner- shall be removing my jumper for a bit!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hi everyone,
Grrr, another poor night, I was so tired I went to sleep early but woke a 3am and that was that. I shall try and have a nap today because keeping myself awake during the day doesn't seem to be working. I did get to sleep again at 7.30. only to be woken by Esben screaming because daddy had broken his oat bar in half and he wanted it whole, cue 15 minutes of full on screaming
Yesterday flew past without much being accomplished but the dinner was very nice. We're having beef rolls with french dip (posh gravy) tonight.
Topsy, your poor DS, it's supposed to be one of the most painful things a broken femur. However, in our experience Addenbrookes is much the best place to be for treatment.
Ruby, nice to see you posting, I hope you start to improve more rapidly now.
Have a good day.
