Ccbc received for 2017 'offence' from D C B

Hi there,
Just looking for a bit of advice.
I have received a claim form for a parking charge from December 2017.
Background - I used to rent a flat which included underground parking and a window display pass. I lived there for over a year and was parked there pretty much every day.
One day I received a ticket and was confused but realised my pass had fallen off the window onto the floor. It was a long time ago but I believe I appealed the ticket, expecting an honest mistake, sending a picture of my parking pass, and notifying them I had been renting the exact same parking space for over 6 months and the pass must have fallen off the window.
This was over 5years ago so I do not remember the exact wording of the 'appeal' ie whether there was any admission of me parking there. In my naivety I expected theyd accept it was an error so didn't think too much of the wording of the appeal, however they replied advising the appeal was rejected. I chose to just ignore further correspondence.
I've received a few letters over the years which I've always ignored and then recently received a LBC from DCB. Again expected this to be standard scare tactics so I ignored but today I've received a Claim form requesting payment of over £300 against the initial charge of £160.
Has anybody any advice/ similar experiences that they believe could help here.
Thanks

Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.0 -

Have you not read any yet? Please do. Almost all claims here are about useless UKPC old PCNs, using DCBLegal. You must have noticed when you read the forum before posting?
Please read a dozen or more claim threads and the 'NEWBIES' FAQS thread (the second post, about court claims).
It will help you see what to do. This one is easy enough - standard UKPC meritless claim and you'll know from @Umkomaas' DCBLegal thread that they - DCBLegal/UKPC - will discontinue later on, with no hearing needed, as long as you follow our advice.
Read a dozen DCBLegal / UKPC threads.
You'll soon suss the pattern and how to get there.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
