Unpaid redundancy money

My daughter was put in the position of having to apply for her own teaching job last year which was duly given to a cheaper newly qualified, she has since left the profession but her union the NEU advised her that she was entitled to 3 years redundancy money, she has never received it, in December the union said there’s nothing more they can do as over 3 months have elapsed since the school agreed to pay. This does not seem right to me, not sure where to go with this?
Any advice gratefully received,
TIA

Your daughter really needs to get all her facts and figures together and find out if she is entitled to any redundancy at all.
If she was employed by a state school she could contact her local council to discuss what's happened.
And she can also contact acas to find out what her rights are. Info in the following link - https://www.acas.org.uk/contact
If your daughter's old job is now being done by someone else, then acas can give advice.
It could be that your daughter hasn't told you the whole story because it does sound very strange and if she was given three months in which to act, it isn't clear why she didn't take that time to do so. You say she's left the profession now, maybe that is a big relief for her, too. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts.
