Credit card / Travel / Section 75 / advice needed.

Thanks for all the replies, I have now taken out the travel insurance, & been accepted for the Credit Card. I am still unsure of whether to add the extra luggage to the Flights on the credit card, as it works out at £56 per flight,so £112 in total, & judging by the differences of opinion on this thread, it still seems a bit of a grey area as to whether this would fall under S75.
I will however, be contacting TUI about the change in schedule, as we were initially due to land in Cyprus at 21:25, & this has now been pushed back to 00:10, which could pose a problem with regards to now checking in at the accomodation in the early hours of the morning, technically the day after we booked. Equally, the flight home was due to depart at 22:00, this has been changed to 01:00, again, technically the next day. I believe that in part due to these changes, the price of the flights has now dropped by £28 per person since we booked them over Christmas, & I wonder if TUI may be amenable in refunding the difference due to both flights now effectively having the dates changed, even if only by an hour or so in reality. If you're not living on the edge, you'll take up too much room.0 -

When Monarch went bust I had 2 single flights tickets, 2 luggage 2 seat reservations, No single item cost more than £100 but able to claim S75 as the "item" was everything to do with that trip (flights, luggage & seats)
When adding seats (with the airlines I use)
You don't get billed for adding seats (eg: get an invoice for the seats) what it does is recalculate the cost of the whole trip with those seats now included.
Given even a future dated ticket has 540 days from date of debit & still be in time for a chargeback.
