Hi All, I have a bit of a strange situation I am hoping someone can help me with. We purchased a house 8 years ago and the deeds show the property having a shared septec tank (located on neighbours land). So sorry circlemaker, I understand your anger and frustration but also suspect you are going to have to pay to put this right. At least you know it will work efficiently and pass all the new regulations. Nothing worse than the toilet backing up when you flush. We had a shared septic tank and this happened to us occasionally because our neighbours insisted on using quilted recycled toilet paper. I have disgusting memories of normally a freezing winter's day shovelling pooey gravel from the shared drain in our courtyard.
