Warn Home Discount

Hi,
I work a few hours a week and as a couple we receive UC, state pension and pip. I did the eligibility checker for the warm home discount and it said we qualify but we havent received a letter as yet.
I have tried ringing the number numerous times today but cant get through.
I was wondering if anybody knows if there is a backlog sending out the letters or is it worth persevering with ringing them.
Thanks.

The money is not paid to you - it’s a one-off discount on your electricity bill, between October 2022 and March 2023.
If not paid by April then chase them up.

Yes I know that, we have received the discount for a number of years and I know things changed this year that's why I was waiting for a letter to make sure we were still eligible just havent received a letter yet.HillStreetBlues said:https://www.gov.uk/the-warm-home-discount-scheme

If you are concerned that you didn't get a letter, the best way to check is to keep persevering with the phone. (It does seem a bit of a mess this year)

Yes, think I will just keep trying to ring them. I usually find it easier to get through to these departments first thing of a morning as soon as they openHillStreetBlues said:If you are concerned that you didn't get a letter, the best way to check is to keep persevering with the phone. Yes, that's when I try as they open their phonelines in the morning (with mug of tea/coffee to hand).Crystal16 said:Yes, think I will just keep trying to ring them. I usually find it easier to get through to these departments first thing of a morning as soon as they open

All sorted, phoned up at 8am this morning and got straight through. The lady I spoke to ran through a few questions with me and said I was entitled but for some reason wasn't on the system. She has now said she will contact my supplier and I should receive the WHD by the end of March.3
