Hi Everyone
I want to start looking in to buying a house as first time buyer and everyone is recommending using a mortgage broker/advisor. How do i choose one? I have a list of at least 4 that have been recommended by my friends. Do i ask all of them to find me the best deal and then choose the right one for me?

Ask them to find the best deal over the first - say - 3, 5 or 10 years. i.e. to work out total costs (and front & ongoing...) over whatever period matters to you. In my experience tend to focus on whatever selling points they think you care about - e.g another 0.001 % off rate or some waived fees. All very interesting but ask them what it will cost you over a period of years...
