Bank Account when overseas?

Does anyone know if FirstDirect would allow to keep the current account open when moving overseas? They do not accept a service address like registeredaddress/ukpostbox so was wondering if it would be possible to provide an overseas address? This will have to be done on the phone as the application has no option for overseas address.
The article from MSE shows FirestDirect has no plans to close the account this is from 2020.

Anyone has any thoughts or has been in a similar situation?
Thanks

A friend of mine has retained his First Direct account after moving to Italy and providing his address there.
