Indeed although it does require a reasonably up to date browser. May not be possible on an old iPad.

Irritatingly, on an Android tablet you can instll the WattsApp app and simply scan a QR code with your phone in settings to register it to your WattsApp account. I have never understood why this isn't an option on a iPad!

Well you cannot run WhatsApp web (in a browser) on an iPad running iOS 10.x as you can't install a new enough version of Safari (or any other browser that is sufficiently up to date as far as I can find).

    Mrs B has an I Pad air 2 - OS = 15.7.2
whatsapp.web.com brings up "safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found"
Firefox on the same device loads it straight away, but I daren't go any further in case I break the hateful machine!

Yes you can but it's a bit iffy. It's WhatsApp web linked to your phone, no where near as good. You may have to connect it to your phone often, no alerts when you get a message, thats with iPad + iPhone

I have it but don't use it. It's much better on MacBook Pro

    So I'm told.

Frustratingly, as I mentioned earlier, you can download and install the WhatsApp app on a cheap as chips Android tablet, pair it once with your iPhone and it works perfectly!

I have no idea why the same facility isn't available for an iPad.

That doesn't surprise me but personally I like the security, regular updates and upgrades Apple products give.
