Best way to get car insurance after vehicle theft?

My car got stolen in Oct 2021 without having been recovered and I made an insurance claim. I since drove mostly a leased vehicle but now have ordered a new car and asked for a quote for me and my wife as additional drivers (both have no points / penalties and I've got my licence for 20 years, she's got hers for 4). Went to a copule of comparison websites to check insurance prices and they're pretty hefty. I checked with my previous insurer (Admiral) and my No Claims Discount after the claim is still at 7 years.
Is there something obvious I'm missing that I can do to bring the premium down?
Thank you!

Recent articles I've read indicate that car insurance prices have increased in the past 12 months after being pretty static. You may just be getting caught in that. Any reason you aren't renewing with your previous insurer?

I’ve asked them for an online quote but it came out as higher than the comparison websites. I may give them a call on the phone and get a quote there - after all they dealt brilliantly with my claim (although it was an easy one since I’ve got the whole theft recorded on my doorbell camera).TELLIT01 said:Recent articles I've read indicate that car insurance prices have increased in the past 12 months after being pretty static.
