Cracked lips stuff - what was it called?

You used to be able to get some marvelous cream that cured cracked lips and whatnot. It came in a small metal tube, it smelled of ammonia, and at some point maybe 15 years ago it changed its name. Then next thing I knew it disappeared from the shops. What was it called? And is there anything like it still available?

Blistex - only available in plastic tubes now - not sure if formula has changed slightly as it still has that amazing smell but its white now rather than the creamy-yellow. I got mine from Tesco if I recall

I find vaseline just sits on the skin, protects but doesn't absorb/moisturise
