Is there a time limit to claim for accidental damage?

I damaged my ipad just before Christmas and haven't gotten around to claiming. I was researching the cheapest way to repair or replace as apple want to charge over £400 to fix it.

Just make the claim. If asked simply say that you didn't have time to check it thoroughly over the Christmas period.

Only you know when you damaged it0

The only issue comes about where your delays cause additional issues... eg if you had damaged your car and it'd have been a simple pull and touch up but you leave it 9 months by which point the panel has rusted notably such that now it has to be replaced.Simonblakely said:I damaged my ipad just before Christmas and haven't gotten around to claiming. Outside of that insurers rarely will have issues with a claim being a few weeks or a couple of months old at the point of reporting.1 -
Hi Op
Just be open and honest, no need to worry as many people go through what you are going through and may want to consider self-repair etc due to various reasons.
Even if does cause additional probs in their/ins view etc, best to be open and honest.
Thanks1 -
The insurance claim went through, got the money for the repair minus £100 excess. Have decided to keep using the cracked iPad for a bit and maybe go for a Samsung Ultra tablet when the new ones come out.0
