Can I pay money directly into my wifes Zopa smart saver? or does it have to come from an account in her name? She works for me and I was hoping to pay directly into her account.

It has to come from one of the verified bank accounts associated with her Smartsave account.
I believe they will only allow accounts in her name.

For many savings institutions you can make topups and withdrawals only from/to a 'nominated' bank account. This seems to be the case (not sure) for Zopa as well:Your Zopa savings account comes with a sort code and unique account number, which you can use to pay money in. Before paying into your Zopa savings account, make sure the bank account you’d like to pay in with has been verified by us.0

You can link and therefore pay from a joint account as long as she is one of the names. I don't know if that's documented but it just happened that the account I linked is a joint one.0
