Like Savvy Sue I downloaded the Age UK Lifebook, looked at and tossed it to one side thinking I'd get round to it later. Then I suffered a very nasty medical incident and ended up in intensive care. Fortunately I recovered and, needless to say, completing that Life Book was one of the first tasks I set myself upon returning home.I suppose my message is don't leave it for a later date. Do it now.4

We have The Book of Doom Knowledge which I will be updating, again, this week with our new car and house insurance details.
It contains:
Details of the solicitor who has our Wills (redrawn recently and need to do LPA's and Living Wills)
bank accounts - current and savings accounts
insurance details - cars/house/travel/breakdown
Premium bonds
Pensions
All Utility providers with all account numbers
Plus various other things pertinent to us.
Our sons know where it is kept.

I'm the same age & have a box with a copy of my will & my 2 POAs plus lots of lists, including who to tell. I never thought about putting in about no known debts, that is a good idea. My only debt would be that months credit card because I obey Martin & pay it off in full. There are even instructions on registering my death. I used to update six monthly but now do it quarterly.
