    @Coupon-mad
    I have removed the above points as suggested and amended point 4 to the following:

    4. The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities ('DLUHC') published in February 2022, a Private Parking Code of Practice includes the following two points which highlight that dropping a passenger or picking them up is not considered parking:

    2.19 parked/parking

    an instance of a vehicle being caused by the driver to remain stationary other than in the course of driving (excluding instances where the driver has stopped to enable passengers leave or enter the vehicle)

    A vehicle may be deemed to be parked whether or not the driver has left the vehicle or turned off the ignition

    2.24 parking period

    the length of time that a vehicle has been parked, i.e. left stationary otherwise than in the course of driving, after any relevant consideration period has expired (excluding instances where the driver has stopped to enable passengers to leave or enter the vehicle)

    Hopefully this is now on the right track?

    Thanks again for all your help

    Thank you, do you think I am now in a position to submit the defence? Are there any other points I need to take into consideration prior to submission?

    Only to re-read the first 12 steps of the Template Defence first post please, so you email it to the right place and don't come back in February asking us:

    (a) why it's gone quiet and what happens next, or

    (b) for advice about the first standard solicitors' letter or the bog standard N180 form.

    All of which is covered!

    Sorry @Coupon-mad I am back with yet another question, the Claimant has sent through a N180
    (old form) completed and confirmed they wish to proceed, do I wait for the CC to send one out to complete, or can I fill the N180 (new form) and send it to the same email address as the defence? Would this help speed up the process?  Thanks
