I can't find the link, but there was a news item somewhere online saying that it had been delayed to 2025, as about half the installed base of RTS meters have not yet been replaced with smart meters?2010 said:The Radio Teleswitch Service is to be shut down on the 31st of March 2024.

"The Radio Teleswitching Service (RTS) was due to be decommissioned in April 2022. However, this is now set to be extended until April 2025 (to tie in with Market-wide Half Hourly Settlement implementation timescales)."macman said:

I wasn`t doubting you because when you Google RTS, there seems to be a variety of cut off dates, April 2025 just being the latest .macman said:

The original deadline for energy suppliers to offer and install smart meters in all UK homes was 2020, however the deadline was revised to 85% of homes by 2024 and has been further pushed back by the government due to the Coronavirus lockdown.
And likely to miss the 2025 target also unless they start to fit double the numbers that they do now.2
