Just an update, I am none the wiser about the rise.
HOWEVER I just got the new bill for the next six months, and it is only almost half of the previous bill. This would seem to be more correct. So why the first charge was doubled I don't know, but I will need to wait until the next charge to see what is the normal cost.1 -
I have received a refund, I was overcharged. The change had only increased by a couple hundred a year not £1000. A rare happy ending! No explanation, I just got a credit note and my last charge was £450 less. Cheers!6
