British Gas and smart meters
Hello. Few years ago I was with EDF and they installed me Liberty Secure smart meters. Then i moved to British gas. EDFs little energy consumption monitor became useless and i trew it away (as i don't like clutter). Now British Gas app stopped showing my consumption, the app is not getting my readings. I rang them, asking for the monitor, but they said they cannot do it because theitr monitors wouldn't work with EDFs smart meters (feels a bit bs). They promised that they will fix the app, but it's still not showing what i used. Is manual tracking with pen and paper my only option now?

The BG app isn't great unfortunately. You can buy another IHD, or you can turn to some of the third party apps instead, like Bright, Loop, or Hugo. They all have slightly different layout, or refresh quicker/slower, and people prefer some over others, so I'd say give them all a go and see which of them you get along with.1
