Dual fuel range cooker - do I need an electrician?

Hi there
I’ve recently purchased a new dual fuel gas/32a range cooker to replace my existing range and I’m trying to find someone to install it for me. I know I need a gas safe engineer to install it, but do they also need to be Part P qualified if it’s just switching the old one over to the new?
Both old and new are 32a so there would be no new circuit, just a straight swap. Can’t find a straight answer online and finding someone who is both gas and electric qualified is harder than it seems!

Thank you.

I don't think that any qualification is needed for hardwiring a cooker to a cooker plate. It's a DIY job for a 'competent' person.

Thank you, I wasn’t sure as many gas engineers said they were confident they could do it.0

Most gas engineers are more than competent enough to wire up a cooker. When they install new boilers, there is always some electrical work to do before it can be powered up.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
It's no more complex than wiring a plug, if there is an existing cooker point to connect into.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
