Looking for a cheap flat fee investment platform

As the holdings are all investment trusts, I moved to Hargreaves Lansdown who don't have ongoing fees for these holdings
To be clear to anyone reading this, there is only no charge in their share and fund account.
It is max £45 in an ISA and max £200 in their SIPP.
this would mean transferring your assets to one of these platforms (YouInvest or HL) and switching your portfolio into a range of investment trusts and/or ETFs.
Fidelity also have a cap on charges for 'exchange traded products' in SIPPs and ISA's of £90. However unlike HL it is max £90 across both, and they also do not charge in their general investment account.

I'm also with iWeb for no platform fees. Your 28 buys would cost £140 a year unless you have sells as well, compare that to the platform fees elsewhere.
I usually wait till around £1000 is cash from dividends and then reinvest, but I do reinvest the odd £300 or £400 here and there sometimes if the next dividend is 2 months away. Probably spend around £150 a year on trades, including rebalancing, but don't regret it at all since save literally thousands on fees from a % platform.0 -
Could you reduce your costs by paying into a different account each quarter?DiamondLil said:GeoffTF said:Why would you want seven accounts with the same broker?
Designated accounts; one for each of my grandchildren.1 -

Thanks @Linton - you've given me pause for thought.... I can gift cash between accounts at no cost; I wonder if the same applies to gifts of shares ? I'll do some beavering, thanks for the pointer.

HL is a double edged one. They charge 0.45% for everything but the price is capped at £45 for shares, ETF, gilts bonds and no cap for funds.
I used to drip feed into a global tracker fund and once the value reached a few thousands, I used to switch to an equivalent ETF.
I'm finding it difficult to move away from HL. iWeb is great but you cannot do regular investing into S&S.
