I work for a large multinational chemical company, we’ve recently been sold and I’m curious about something.
we are now getting paid from a company that was created last year, not the company who purchased us. When you look on companies house it’s says they specialise in sale of assets.

Anyone know what this means

Isn't there anyone you can ask at the large chemical company?

Or at the company that the big company was sold to?

You do have a right to know. I'd definitely want to start asking questions.

Although you are being paid, and that's good - you don't know for how long you will have a job or how long you will continue to receive any pay. From what you say, one of the companies somewhere appears to have gone into liquidation. But why are you in the dark?

More facts and figures are needed - and you really do need to ask for them. Why is it all such a big secret? Is probably the first question I'd ask.

You do not have a "right to know". If redundancy is on the cards, then there are rules an employer must follow. Similarly if TUPE applies, certain rules also have to be followed. You would only have rights if you would not being paid correctly.
