need help to get gas central heating put in?

hi i currently have a coal fire and want to have a gas fire .i don't know what you have to do to get it put in and if you can pay for it all monthly. the gas pipe is at the front door and i am in scotland. any help would be much appreciated :eek:

If the gas pipe is at the front door then it will need to be extended to the living room, either under the floorboards, or sited just above the skirting. You'd need to pay a corgi registered fitter for this as well as fitting the actual fire up front.
You would also need to pay for the fire up front as although you might find some fireplace shops that will do credit, this will be on the more expensive fires & a very costly way of doing things. Places such as B&Q, Wickes or Homebase sell a range of fires as decent prices.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
