Shortage of E5 petrol ?
Comments

I filled my 20 year old Focus up with E5 at BP the other day. Full tank too and still plenty left in the pump.1

More likely that garages are not stocking it.The recent prices for fuel has not helped and I suspect most sales are for vehicles that cannot run on E10.What I do find interesting is the lack of clear pricing - Most signs show Unleaded of which the default is E10 and Diesel - The garages I visit seem to hide the price of E5 - or at least I have not seen it.0

How do you know?GenieBoy said:plenty left in the pump.
You may have taken your 50 or 60 litres or so and then there might only have been another 10 litres left in the pump...0 -
I can't say I've noticed a shortage. Probably is just the garages.0

A few weeks ago my nearest filling stations had no Diesel or E5 for a few days e.g. Shell, Tesco, Essar, Esso.I am hoping there's E5 at the Shell later today. Car's tank top up and a Jerrycan.Let's start a panic!0

I've got news for both of you...it isn't stored in the pump. That's what underground tanks are for.Grumpy_chap said:

But how would any customer know how much was left after they took their 60 litres (or whatever)?TadleyBaggie said:

There seems to be plenty of E5 round my way. I tend to buy it on the basis of not driving enough for the additional cost to be significant and for the slight power increase.0

Is it noticeable in normal driving?Ditzy_Mitzy said:There seems to be plenty of E5 round my way. I tend to buy it on the basis of not driving enough for the additional cost to be significant and for the slight power increase.0 -
Partners Astra Twintop Sport really does not like E10 petrol- runs rough. On E5 very smooth so for limited mileage she does worth the difference0
