Hi , I have the ecombi ssh . My electric bill doubled until I read a whole lot on these heaters .I have set mine to manual mode ,no programming , I can now set the temp myself I have it at 18, it stores at night 7 hours and still only charges to 4 bars , I then in the evening increase temp to 20 , it works fine and my bill has dropped from £296 per month to £ 120 including the new price for economy 7 . The most important thing to notice is it can take power from day rate , please go to functions , para, and scroll until up08 , you will notice the number 16 , this is how many hours per day it can use day rate energy !!, lower it , I have mine to just 1 , you can alter whenever you need more help I.e if very cold . So to re cap I have no programs just temp showing that you can turn up as needed depends on how many hours you set daytime use (para up08) . The programs are for if you are at home all day in my opinion and before the crazy price of electric , if it wasn't for that I think we would all be happy , I too was shocked at the crazy prices , but by switching to manual mode you are in effect turning it back into a traditional storage heater no bells or whistles , the heaters are great , it's not the heater fault prices shot up , that's life , I found a video on you tube how to put manual mode on these heaters , it worked for me folks , im nice n warm £120 per month one bed bungalow all electric , I really hope this helps some of you . 😊one last thing , next to the temp if you see a very small dot pin head size that is the signal its taking from day rate !! Lower that if its costing too much and I better add I have just the one heater the largest they do and it enough for my whole home , they really are good heaters they just need understanding and given the grace that electric prices are crazy . I did e mail Elnur told them what I did and they replied short and sweet with yes you can run them this way , works for me and my pocket
