If the smart meters are SMETS1 then they may well not be sending reads automatically to the supplier, as they may have ceased to work when you switched supplier. If SMETS2, they should continue to work with a supplier change. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Hi thanks for this link. I just checked and for the gas meter it's saying 'not found' and for the electricity it's saying 'this isn't a smart meter' so now I'm even more confused! My latest bills don't say estimates, they say 'Smart Meter Reading'. Any ideas?DingerUK said:

Put up a piccy of the meters and we should be able to tell if they are smart or not. Generally a smart leccy meter will have a communications module on the topNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
