Water/Eco Shower Heads

Has anyone used one of those Eco type shower heads ('Ionic' brand) that allegedly increase flow from the shower head but use less water?  The "pinching a hose pipe principle".  Seems too good to be true.

We have one supplied by our water company. Works well, if anything it gives the feel that there is more water than less.

we also have a similar device (again thanks to affinity water) that does the same for the bathroom sink.
