IHD is suddenly awaiting data for a gas supply I dont have

Options
After much discussion over several months, SSE finally changed my meter in early December and installed a new smart one with an IHD

This all worked perfectly from the get-go with the IHD showing instant electric usage on the left, and cumulative daily usage on the right. Overnight this has suddenly changed to the right hand side showing "Awaiting Data" from a gas supply i dont have,

Any idea how to get this back to the way it was? I have tried disconnecting the IHD and waiting, but as soon as it is reconnected the non-existent gas data is requested again.

Also anyone with SSE experience remember how long it took to update your online account to reflect the smart meter? My online account is still exacltly the same as it was pre smart meter installation after some six weeks

Thanks in advance

    Hi,
does it not give option to switch from gas to electric, might have to go into menu/settings.
If you post a photie of IHD, maybe somebody with similar can help.
Edit: Have a read of this THREAD gives some info.
  • Thanks for responding, but there are no options to switch from Gas to Electric. On the System Status page it laughably shows there is a gas meter service issue. You dont say! Perhaps not having a gas meter has something to do with it?

There is an option to completely reset the IHD but im thinking that might be a bit of a 'nuclear' option.

Thanks for the Ovo link. Im with SSE whose customer service is utterly appalling (it took them nine months to admit I was on an obsolete (and more expensive) tariff which could only be rectified by swapping meters

Digging down from that thread you linked to, I did find another one where other people were having the exact same issue. A technical guy appeared an told them to report the gas error code to the support team, The problem is, SSE make it really difficult to speak to a knowledgeable person as they hide behind website links and calling them usually just gets you talking to call centre people who either dont know or dot care.
