PAYE income tax query.

I am just about to complete my online self assessment for 21/22 tax year. So as usual, I have logged into my government gateway and I noticed a
‘latest news and updates’ box and a section saying to ‘view and print your PAYE income tax history’

I clicked onto it and it’s shows the years up until 2017. This is when I became self employed and each tax year states ‘no PAYE income tax for this year’ which is correct as I have only been self employed since then.

However, for the current tax year April 22 to April 23 it is showing a box showing a company that I used to work for and stopped working for in 2016! it has employer PAYE reference number and a tax code. Also start date (July 2014) and an end date (Feb 2016)
I’m confused why this is showing up on the current tax year? Is it a glitch? I don’t understand why it is there. Can anyone advise why this may be?

many thanks in advance.

I suspect that it's simply defaulting to the last employment you had.

But only HMRC could say for certain.
