Shell Energy billing "stopped for all customers"

I just asked Shell why I still don't have my bill, normally genereted on the 4th of the month. Their response:
"Billing was stopped for all the customers because new tariff is being updated to the accounts. When this is updated, billing will be active again. 😊️
It can take up to 28 days for this to be updated. Your next bill will be generated on 4th February."
Breath-taking.
Thoughts, anyone ?

Well yes, tariffs changed at the beginning of the month so they'll bill you to the new tariffs. Most people can do it quicker than 28 days though...0

For what its worth, I had my email from Shell on 07 January to say my bill was ready to view and my December bill dated 04 January 2023 was in my account as normal. I had notification of the new rates on 14 December.....0

mine is normally generated on the 5th. Its dated the 5th but I could not see it until the end of the week on the 8th. Does it really matter? you can work it out yourself if you know what the new tariff is

just got my shell bill and i notice there has been a tiny reduction in the electric unit rate (a fraction of a penny per unit) from 1/1/23 - i'm not sure what the point is

We recieved notification of this a few months ago...I was told I would be better off by £1 per yearboliston said:just got my shell bill and i notice there has been a tiny reduction in the electric unit rate (a fraction of a penny per unit) from 1/1/23 - i'm not sure what the point is0 -
I had a similar conversation but got an alternate scriptForumMember007 said:"Billing was stopped for all the customers because new tariff is being updated to the accounts. This is because the Metering Department have temporarily paused the billing whilst they update your tariff details on your smart meter. As soon as the relevant department have finished the internal updates on your account, they will release an accurate up to date bill
IHD still showing the old rate yet I can now see on the account that a bill was created on 12th which will be available to view 'soon'. Maybe the fact that I pay by variable D/D each month for what I have used has something to do with that, possibly if I paid by a fixed amount each month they may not be as keen to raise a bill as they'd still get the payment.

Still waiting for this month's bill, after submitting meter readings on 28th Dec. They've already calculated the amount and it's been deducted from my credit, so what gives?0
