Hi everyone,
Camelot, luxury, our sorting office which used to have very long opening hours before lockdown is now only open till 10am every morning except Saturday when they deign to open till midday.
Mehefin, glad to hear you are on the mend at last.
dp1, well done to DD, Boston is great from what we saw when we were there.
We're travelling up to TA land later today. It may be much later because Laura is having her haematoma removed and we are having the dashcam fitted on the car. The weather is horrible here so I hope it will get batter as we go north.
Have a good day.9 -
Morning! Raining here too...It's just so depressing, I don't mind a bit of rain, but it really feels like it's been going on for weeks with the odd day off. Never mind, soon be too hot
My glue gun awaits me today, we'll see what kind of monstrosity I can make. I did make polpette and veg soup yesterday, oh my god, there was a stink from a forgotten leek in the veg drawer [not in the fridge thank god]. I had to put the compost caddy out the back it was so bad so I need to sort that out after. Other than some playing there is hoovering on the cards and maybe some scone making [ got buttermilk in the fridge doing nothing, cheese scones, nom..] Might make some rum sauce as well and use up a bit of christmas pudding. Now that I've talked about food I'm ravenous so I'd better go and fill a pitta with something before I eat OHs arm...
Rosy, well done on the weight loss. I was staring at my kindle yesterday trying to find something I wanted to read...Went back to a oldie but it's really difficult for me to find authors I like as I like sci-fi/sci-fi fantasy. Some is too saccharin, some is too simple, some is just an excuse for the author to run away with a pen about elves or something..Maybe send a short txt to your neoighbour just to say hope things are ok or something...camelot, is he a new HT or a seasoned one? Scarlet, we go twice a year to a WI quiz which raises money to sort out the community hall. We are normally the youngest there. We love it. So you know, we have just as exciting livesIzzy, good luck tonight. Coxy, shame about your neighbour. Trouble is, you never want to deliberately fall out with them and the more you know about them, sometimes that's when you fall out. Mind you, fear is not a good excuse either. I am tentative with neighbour friendships too but then you usually see a trait you dislike which makes you not want to know them better...mehefin, good to hear you're better...for the love of god eat some pies!
dp, good news for your daughter! snoozer, wave at TA for me
ight, off for breakfast, stay dry all, and anyone poorly better get better or else....

Morning all, it's raining again but we're thankfully on the edge of the weather warning. We did go wallpaper shopping yesterday and brought back several swatches. They have been up on the wall and we've decided on 2, one for the main wall and one for a feature wall, neither of which are in our normal comfort zone (normally I'm Mrs Magnolia 😂) Now we have to go back to the shop and spend an arm and a leg buying enough of each, but that'll be tomorrow. I'm sure I have some lo gloss paint under the stairs too so I'll have to crawl into the glory hole to check, I think the door was was made for a hobbit 😂
Yesterday I washed the bedding from last week so I'll put it away today and the dw needs going on, nothing much else needs to be done and we're out for Mr Fix It to get his injection later this afternoon.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones and the MIA's. I hope the recuperating are well onto the road to recovery.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
Gers - I'd love to but I think flights would be way to expensive for me. Perhaps her work should pay for me to fly there just to check up on her! She was saying her boss is quite envious and wishes she could go too.
I have a big 3 door pine wardrobe in the front bedroom which little one now uses. It sounds similar to yours - cupboards at the top and 4 drawers at the bottom. I don't have much hanging in it, just my work clothes and a few jackets but I do have 4 storage boxes with the clothes in little one hasn't grown into yet ( I get them from a friend) Perhaps you could just use yours for storage too?
The man who's doing the floor seems to have spent more time away from the house than actually working so far.....I'll just have to ask him to lock up when I go to work.10 -
Morning everyone
On day off today after working 5 hours yesterday until midnight. Taken Doggie to the local college to be groomed so had to be up at 8. Will be going to collect her shortly.
Back to work tomorrow for another 5 shifts. Busy prepping some food I got from the app that gives free food. Making tomato sauce for pasta, soups, cheese sauce. Will also do roasted veg for dinner & possibly a minced beef dish topped with the free new potatoes sliced. I got sausages too they have been separated into portion sizes and frozen.
DM does seem better now, hope it continues.Hope all the poorlies are improving. Mehfin glad you’re feeling better. Ruby & Nelski hope you’re both going ok.Snoozer I’m hopefully planning a summer visit to Yorkshire, my dad was born there and that’s where he wanted his ashes spread on the moor tops in North Yorkshire when he died. I’m hoping to go to Fountains,Brimham Rocks, Pately Bridge & Knaresborough too.
I too wish the rain would stop.hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.11
