Travel Insurance

Our annual policy ran out on 31 Dec 2022.  we are due to go on a cruise on 19 Jan, flying to LA.  I have recently had some tests Echo scan and EST (?)  these have come back with no problems, but, the doctor wants me to have a Cardio CT Scan to be on the safe side, I am lucky I have private medical with my job and the doctor said we will just do an MOT to be on the safe side.  I won't bore you with the problems, but, I am still waiting for this Cardio CT scan and still haven't been given a date for it.

Any idea where I can get travel insurance to cover me in case the scan date doesn't come through in time?  I don't need cover for the flight or cruise, just the medical side of things

thank you

Insurers, ironically, dont like uncertainty... is this all looking into a new medical condition or maintenance on an existing diagnosis?
  • I seem to remember my travel insurers asking me if I was due any tests or test results..
I think as far as travel insurance is concerned you are better staying away the doctors
    Of course I’m no expert.

No as they also ask about symptoms... you are better off staying healthy or getting all things diagnosed quickly and under control (which probably means private medical in current climes)

They like to have a quantifiable risk. Undiagnosed issues are hard to quantify.
