Hi

We are having a new kitchen installed mid Feb with a integrated microwave, this morning our current counter top Panasonic microwave has stopped working with error code H97 (googled and not a quick fix) so as we have the new built in microwave boxed waiting for installation in Feb can we open it and use it on the counter top as a temporary measure?

thanks

I would think so.    Our previous Siemens combi microwave was intended for building in, but we just had it on the worktop.  It had a full case on it, so nothing dangerous exposed, what is yours like?

Don't see why not - You may need to put a couple of blocks of wood underneath to lift it up from the worktop a little.

Sorry just to add, does an built in have a regular plug on the cable or does it need wiring in?
