I had an home insurance claim open since November. I was disputing the cash settlement. I’ve just logged in to provide some more quotes to find my claim has been closed as I hadn’t responded in five working days (I missed the deadline by an hour).
Is there anything I can do? Do I have any rights? They acknowledged I was due repairs and this was clearly an oversight on my part.

Thanks for any advice.
Just contact them and they'll reopen... its only a stats/MI type thing. Claims are constantly reopened... motor claims in particular local councils and highway agency can take 18 months or longer to submit their claim for repairing street furniture.
