You don't actually profit from having mondays.
But, you do the get to have the (monday) bank holidays when you would like....2 -
Anyone thinking of dropping a day should consider having a Wednesday off. It is what I did, and it is the best decision I ever made! No more Sunday afternoon blues. I never work more than two days in a row, and two days holiday buys me five days off. I love it.Think first of your goal, then make it happen!8

I work from home and dropped a Friday but work a compressed week instead. Just log on a bit earlier and log off a bit later. Works for me and the company.1

I dropped a day a week, mine is a Thursday. I love having that day off where I can book any appointment or go out for the day. Places are generally quieter on the midweek days.
Plus I can just take the Friday off if I want a long weekend.Although my salary went down of course, my quality of life went up more than the value of salary lost.2 -
I have just done this....Which day is your non working day? I’m currently considering dropping one day, but a Monday and by my calcs I’ll actually ‘profit’ on BH?

Balances out for most people but part-timers who work Monday and Friday can end up owing a lot back.2 -
I went to 3 days from full time last August, working Monday to Wednesday, my choice as it suits what I do and my hobbies.
As for bank holidays, for instance last xmas I would have had to take holiday as they fell on my working days and those 3 are the only non flexible BH we have. Luckily for me my manager is very accommodating and if I want to change the days one week I can, so for instance the week after next I am working Monday Tuesday & Thursday as I have something on on the Wednesday. All suits me very well.2 -
