Vue tickets can be exchanged for Xtreme 3D VIP recliner seating (£16.99 at the most expensive cinemas) for no extra charge, and they come with half-price popcorn vouchers too.Katiehound said:
I would argue the toss on this one!phillw said:
If you sign up for a Gourmet card directly then it costs £34.99 for a year.35har1old said:
With the lloyds account i agree the value of having the benefits might be ok depending on which benefit you take but still the best benefit if you eat out a lot is the dining discount but that would only require one account the other benefits are on a sliding scale in value.
While six cinema tickets are worth more than £5.83 each.
So the best value, is the cinema tickets.
I get Country Living magazine and the cover price is £5.99 (eekk) so I'm getting 12 of them not 6 like the cinema tickets. Of course I could take out a subscription to the magazine and the current offer is £35.95
In reality they are similar value. I'm pleased with my magazine as I would not be buying it for myself1 -

I’m not sure why Halifax would considering their Reward account doesn’t currently follow Club Lloyds rates, and their £5 Reward isn’t interest.Patrington said:
Has anyone had confirmation from Halifax that they'll.be following this interest rise?mab3000 said:Just received a letter notifying me about this. Also telling me the interest rate is rising to 1.5% on balances up to £3999.99 and 3% from £4000 to £5000 from the 31st Jan
Of course I meant:
Has anyone had any indication from BOS that their Vantage accounts (which all show up on my Halifax login) will be following this interest rise on these accounts?
I see they've announced it.0 -
That was something i missed initially as well with the each part, as previously paid higher rates on full balance if had the higher amount. however they have made it clearer on the website nowAlex9384 said:wmb194 said:Careful, let's try to be accurate. It's not going to be on the full balance as it was in the old days, the 3% will only be paid on the account balance between £4k and £5k. Overall on a balance of £5k it'll work out as a rate of 1.784% gross so still not great.
Really?
Damn... Just cancelled my scheduled transfer of £5k from Chase to Club Lloyds.
I'd have assumed that if I have £3999, I will get 1.50% on the whole balance and if I have £4000+ then I will get 3% on the whole balance.
I guess the key phrase I earlier didn't pay attention to is "for each part of your balance".
with "You could earn 1.50% AER (1.49% gross p.a.) variable credit interest on balances between £1 and £3,999.99, and 3.00% AER (2.96% gross p.a.) variable on any part of the balance from £4,000 up to and including £5,000. You won’t earn interest on any part of your balance over £5,000"
and
For example, when you have £4,500 in your account, you could earn interest of 1.50% AER (1.49% gross p.a.) variable on the first £3,999.99 and 3.00% AER (2.96% gross p.a.) variable on the rest"

I closed a Lloyds Regular Saver this month which resulted in over £2k going into the Club Lloyds account - any idea if that counts as 'paying in more than £2k a month' or does it have to come from a non Lloyds account?0

I had closed all my Club card accounts a while ago. However it seemed silly not to take advantage of their latest offerings. Disney is something we would watch and have started putting £400 a month into the 6.25 percent regular account.
As for paying in £2000 a month is certainly no issue for me.0 -
IIRC, transfers from Lloyds Group accounts don't count.t1redmonkey said:I closed a Lloyds Regular Saver this month which resulted in over £2k going into the Club Lloyds account - any idea if that counts as 'paying in more than £2k a month' or does it have to come from a non Lloyds account?0 -
Internal transfers will count, the same goes for Halifax for that matter.t1redmonkey said:I closed a Lloyds Regular Saver this month which resulted in over £2k going into the Club Lloyds account - any idea if that counts as 'paying in more than £2k a month' or does it have to come from a non Lloyds account?3 -
IIRC all payments into a Club Lloyds account count (potentially even the fee waiver amount but I haven't tested this). So any payments from any of the LBG companies (including Lloyds itself) as well as from other companies.gary1312 said:

When I had 3 Halifax reward accounts I used to pay £3k into one reward account, transfer £2.5k into the second, then transfer £2k of that into the third before paying into the Halifax/BOS regular savers, making 3 debit card payments to myself and sending £1k off to the Coventry FHS. I never paid a single fee. I never tested this with Club Lloyds since I used it as my main nominated account so usually had over £10k going through it each month but the wording of the terms surrounding pay ins is pretty much identical if I recall correctly.General_Grant said:

I have Club Lloyds accounts and have just upgraded to Santander's Edge Up accounts. Set up a monthly money go round paying from one to the other and back again. I lose a little interest but that should be covered by the Club Lloyds account charge saving.0
