Currys refund of gift vouchers

Just before Christmas I bought two Samsung watches using gift vouchers through the Blue Light discount card + £8 on my debit card. They sent an email stating eta 3-5 working days for home delivery
They cancelled order - the only explanation so far is a glitch in their system. They confirmed they had the product but could not send it to me as they had cancelled the order.
They have only reimbursed the gift card not given me the funds back. Have I any rights in terms of getting the value of the gift card reimbursed given I got the gift card specifically for those products and due to their error the order was cancelled.
In my last email I mentioned small claims court is this a viable course of action for the way I have been treated.

  • They'll refund to your method of payment. So £8 to your debit card, the rest to the gift vouchers.

You'll have confused them with your mention of small claims court as they've done nothing wrong.

Also remove your phone number as you'll no doubt shortly be getting calls about all sorts of new and exciting investment opportunities and claims companies.
