Installing new integrated dishwasher

Just bought a Beko slimline dishwasher to fit, have unpacked it but on top of it there’s 2 pieces of polystyrene that I’m assuming need removing, but there’s also a very neatly cut piece of foam (not sponge, looks more like filling from an old sofa from the 70’s) actually on the top of the dishwasher. Nothing in the instructions about it?
is it sound proofing, and leave it in place?

They are often covered in soundproofing. Nothing around the top has to move so leave everything where it is, assuming it will fit in the space!Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

Thanks EE, thought so but wanted to check! Thanks again0

Does it not tell you what the foam piece is in the instruction / installation manual ??

Does it not say remove all packaging ? If it is not fixed on in any way it's more likely transit packaging0

A photo would help. Are you able to provide one?0

If you look online at the range of Beko dishwashers none of them show any foam on top0

Except, if you look online at the installation videos and other photos, they do.
Leave it on there, unless space is too tight.0 -
Ours, not Beko, had some foam but it was to put underneath the machine between the front feet for sound proofing purposes.0
