hi,
Redmi 9 Mobile & Soundcore Anker Motion Boom Portable Bluetooth Speaker.
Streaming Apple Music but keep dropping connection. sometimes just pressing play again on the device (as it has gone to pause) makes it play again, sometimes it seems the whole connection is lost and i have to switch off speaker etc and restart.
thank you.

Do you have another BT speaker to test it with? Apologies if you've already tried that.

it appeared to be the wifi signal as when i play from the download rather than streaming it doesn't drop.0

Huh? That doesn't make one jot of sense. Streaming over the net uses v little bandwidth, even for HD audio. Sending it via Bluetooth to the BT speaker uses an entirely separate technology. There's no causal link between those two processes that would cause it to fail.Neil_Jones said:pfpf said:it appeared to be the wifi signal as when i play from the download rather than streaming it doesn't drop. That's a bandwidth issue, not a wifi issue. If you're actively streaming something from the internet somewhere and you're sending it also wirelessly to Bluetooth, its hardly surprising its going to drop the connection.
OP you have two potential problems. Either the stream is being interrupted due to an issue with your broadband connection, or your Bluetooth connection to the speaker is being interrupted. Assuming the BT speaker is in the same room and in line of sight of the Redmi device, it's more likely that your audio stream is having issues. Before pressing Play to restart it it's worth checking that the speaker is still showing as connected in the Redmi settings, and then check that the audio stream is still playing - if there's been an interruption the Pause icon will probably have changed to the Play icon. That you press Play to get it going again suggests that the stream is at fault. Try that and go from there; report back with your findings if you can.0
